President Gives a statement Magufuli About Political Violence in Zanzibar, Says No Settlement over Repeat Elections.



President John Magufuli said that she had no authority to intervene in any of the Zanzibar election issue.
 
President Magufuli yesterday he describes it in his speech to several ambassadors who are here representing their countries Tanzania read on his behalf by the minister of foreign affairs, regional integration, regional and international Ambassador Augustine Mahiga palace yesterday in Dar es salaam.
 
In that speech, President Magufuli explained to the ambassadors that despite being one country Tanzania, Zanzibar has its own system of politics, has its own government, its Constitution and its electoral commission independent.He said the election commission canceled due to irregularities in Pemba, and that's already a new date for elections has already declared destination in accordance with the Constitution of Zanzibar.
 
Who said talks to resolve the dispute without success took place where the main opposition party (CUF) has continued to oppose the choice of destination, while other parties including the ruling party, the elections need to show it to the destination.
 
He said the situation is, prudence is required in order to save it, and that boycotting the election is not a solution but use the space now to discuss how to make the choice of destination to be free and fair.
 
He told the ambassadors that the government together with the majority of Tanzanians would like to see CUF proves his claim to win the elections through the ballot box in the choice of destination.
 
"CUF Tunakiasa as many Tanzanians would like to see, to prove their victory at the ballot box, there is no other way to resolve this matter over to accept the choice of destination" part of the speech said.
 
Magufuli has assured the ambassadors that the country is secure and the peace and stability is satisfactory during this period towards the choice of destination.
