Citing a statement about the conduct of cholera in the country and of Zika disease alert yesterday in Dar es Salaam Hon. Ummy said that officials who concealed the patients in their areas will be held accountable.
"One of the challenges in the fight to control the cholera epidemic is the provision of incomplete or not paying quite a number of cholera cases reported thus leading to lack of success in strategically placed" said Minister Ummy.
In addition, he called on other sectors to cooperate with the Ministry to fight the disease in order to deal with some of the challenges facing health care providers who are educated in different places in the country.
"The role of fighting this epidemic of the Ministry of Health not only allow me to other sectors including water, crumbling, Business Education and Environment cooperate together to eradicate this disease."
Besides Hon. Ummy explained that the figures from the 1st until 7 February this year show that the number of cholera cases has decreased from 459 the week ended January 31 up to 258 which is equivalent to a discount of 44%.
However the Ministry imewatoa fear and remind citizens to continue to take precautions against the disease as well Zika fever and other diseases transmitted by mosquito.
